The project was for a private main contractor and the outline was to build and new store, office headquarters and carpark soft for The Range retailer. Our works included the initial site clearance and cut and fill earthworks. Our earth moving plant is fitted with GPS modelling software which was used throughout the cut/fill process. We also used GPS modelling software to excavate the foundations for the project. Other works included drainage, storm water attenuation tanks, RC foundations & walls, kerbing, concrete flooring and external finishes. We also built a new section of adopted road around the project and this included reduce level digging, new drainage & drainage connections, kerbing and stoning up the new road & footpaths ready for tarmac.
The works on this site also included screening and processing the excavated material on site. The material had a lot of rubble in it, this was screened out and then crushed into 6F2 to use in hardstanding areas on site.
The store actually opened 6 months ahead of schedule with the office and lower carpark finishing as planned in August 2019.
