Our works on this project included the removal of the old gabion basket retaining wall, site clearance, new retaining wall, drainage, storm attenuation system, kerbs, drainage channels, new gabion basket to the back of the site, stoning up and new electrical duct infrastructure. The new retaining wall structure was formed using and Allan Block system which consisted of sloped interlocking block hollow concrete blocks. A specially designed geogrid is then used with the blocks to re-enforce the structure. The geogrid is lapped back into the ground behind the wall, covered in engineered fill material and then compacted in layers to lock it in with the Allan Block. The client was very pleased with the high quality of work & H & S standards.
